Duo Sigova/Lasine
Duo Sigova/Lasine brings together concert pianist Julia Sigova and violinist Anton Lasine, Associate Concertmaster of the Malmö Opera Orchestra. For the past ten years, they have performed together with a rich and varied repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces and Romantic sonatas to salon music and contemporary works.
Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata
At Tudarebacken, the duo presents one of the most celebrated works in the violin repertoire: Ludwig van Beethovens Kreutzersonat. A composition whose emotional power and expressive depth inspired Leo Tolstoy to write the novella of the same name, widely regarded as one of his greatest literary achievements.
Where Music Meets Literature
Throughout the evening, the performance is interwoven with selected readings from Tolstoy's The Kreutzer Sonata. Together, music and literature create a dialogue, inviting reflection on passion, human relationships, and the complexities of the human condition. Long after the final note has faded, these themes continue to resonate.
Thomas Mann once described Tolstoy's art in these words:
"Rarely has art resembled nature so closely."
An Evening for Listening and Reflection
